The "Hunger Games"
trilogy follows the very successful books "Hunger Games." The
second film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," is set to debut in
November 2013 and is highly anticipated. The first film, "The Hunger
Games" was filmed in North Carolina. Atlanta, Georgia was chosen for
filming the second film, and the addition of this high profile movie to the
list of movies and television shows filmed in Georgia is a growing local film
industry great victory for Georgia.
The Atlanta History Center Swan House is a well-known
landmark Atlanta and often photographed. The beautiful Swan House is the vision
of the party to Capitol scene in "Catching Fire."
Farm buildings in the center Goat Farm Arts, also located in Atlanta, offer the perfect look for the scenes in one of the rural districts. This goat farm abandoned, transformed successfully arts center, has a rich history dating back to 1890, when the property served as a cotton gin mill. Today, the Goat Farm Arts Centre offers studio space for artists and hosts many artistic events such as concerts and dance performances. The filming of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is not the first cinematic experience at Goat Farm Arts Centre, the popular TV series, "The Walking Dead" also used this site or filming.
"The Beach" at Clayton County International Park will be used as part of the arena for more "Catching Fire". Recently, "The Extraordinary Life of Timothy Green," "Scary Movie 5" and other films and TV shows were filmed in Clayton County. Use of this site Clayton County to shoot the new film brings even more attention to this nice small town movie.
Filming took place here and the fans speculate that the scenes filmed on the race track could have been those that took place in the Capitol.
Fans of hit movies are eagerly awaiting the release of this film in November. Local fans are eager to see if their predictions for the scenes were filmed where are correct and choose familiar places they like.
