Delete Internet History


When surfing the Internet, the browser does certain things to make it easier for you to move around the Internet. You may not be aware, but the truth is that many files are stored on your computer during the browsing sessions. Your browser is responsible for this store. On the hard drive of your computer, temporary files and browsing history are two large storage areas that you need to clear your history away to keep browsing the prying eyes of others.

Before going into the details of deleting the history of the Internet, it will be helpful to know exactly what these temporary and history navigation archives. Cache files are counted as temporary files. These could be photos that your browser stores to make it easier to access when needed again.

Here is how you can:

For Internet Explorer:

On the Tools menu, choose "Internet Options." When the Internet Options window appears, click the "General" tab. If you want to delete the cached files, select the "Delete" button in the Browsing section. A window will appear where you can see many sections such as cookies, temporary internet files, passwords, data forms and history. To remove some of the selected files, you can click the buttons in this section. However, if you want to delete all files at once, find the "Delete All" or "Clear History" button, which is usually at the bottom of the browser window. Once you find this button, click it to remove Internet history.

For Firefox:

If you use Mozilla Firefox, delete browser history will be a breeze you can accomplish in seconds. Select "Tools" first and then click on "Clear Private Data". In the window that appears, you will find different sections called cookies, browsing history, in recorded form, the history of recorded research and passwords.

For AOL (America Online):

Find the "Settings" button at the top of the browser window. Click on it and select "Preferences." Then choose "toolbar and sounds" and then click the "clear history trail now" button to erase Internet history.

Besides the measures mentioned above, you must also remove third-party applications that store text, images, passwords and other sensitive data in different places on your hard drive.
