Food poisoning
refers to severe gastroenteritis that occurs due to consumption of contaminated
food and obsolete hotels, restaurants and picnics. The
inner lining of the stomach and small intestine becomes inflamed, followed by
the passage of loose stools, vomiting, and abdominal cramping. This
results in a huge loss of body fluids leads to dehydration and shock. Adults
and children affected by this disease, and severe cases may require an
emergency.

Causes

Home Remedies
Food poisoning can be fatal and requires immediate treatment. Some home remedies are widely practiced in curing this disease.
1. The patient should be given oral rehydration solution (ORS) in small quantities to prevent dehydration and shock.

should be boiled and cooled to prevent the disease from worsening.
3. Tea, rice water, tender coconut water, barley, etc. This also prevents dehydration.
4. The mixture is prepared from a spoonful of soup poppy seeds, a teaspoon of cardamom soup powder and edible gum half teaspoon of nutmeg powder teaspoon of tea two tablespoons sugar.
