A young man who
offers breakfast to another child money threats and an employee who has
publicly and continuously humiliated by his boss can both face the same
phenomenon: bullying. Although
the term "bullying" is often associated with children, it is very
common to see the same kind of behavior in a work environment.
This is called
workplace bullying.
Research on bullying in the workplace tells us that 50 percent of all employees are affected by this destructive behavior. Studies also show that the vast majority (71 percent) of all bullies are bosses and that men and women are equally likely to be both bullies and targets of harassment at work. Of all those bullied approximately 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women. Just over half of all offenders (58 percent) are women and half of all workplace bullying is done by women for other women.
But
the behavior not all negative workplace is bullying in the workplace. If
face their shortcomings, they may recognize that they exaggerated and may even
apologize if confronted. What

Let's look closer this definition.
First, the behavior that the bully uses is deliberate. The bully intends to hurt her target and is highly concentrated, attacking several times the same person.
Second, the behavior consists of aggressive action, such as passive-aggressive action humiliation, intimidation and undermining either. Examples of passive-aggressive bullying:
· Repeatedly schedule meetings surprise to get the target off base
· Ignore several times the target at a meeting
· Throwing repeatedly off target against one or more other employees
You will see the above points, we highlight the repeated behavior as bullying at work. Random action, though painful, are not necessarily bullying.
Third, notice that we use the word "target" instead of "victim". "Victim" implies that the person being bullied is less powerful than the bully. A fourth element of the definition is satisfaction, that the bully he wins with his bullying behavior.
One element deserves some extra consideration:
What harm is that the behavior of the attacker have the person who is being bullied? If you've ever been bullied, you can know the effects. They start with surprise and a sense of unease gnawing; proceed in anxiety and insecurity and progress into depression if the behavior of the bully is not stopped.
Studies on bullying at work show that bullies impact the organization as well. Lost productivity and lack of communication are two effects. In extreme cases, the behavior of a tyrant prevents the give and take that make a creative work, achieve a healthy goal.
