Since the devastating defeat
World Series of 1993, difficult years at the end of 1990 to implement
exceptional work of finishing last year with the league. Citizens
Bank Field, where the Phillies call home, is absolutely beautiful. There is
much room to walk around, eat cheese steaks, and even a Phanatic jungle gym for
the smallest of Phillies fans.

him as Uncle Charlie. Manuel had to overcome the death of his mother in the
playoffs last year and he treated with such grace than anyone could in this
situation.
Then the Phillies not only have outstanding ball players; they are great people too. In what is called the age of steroids in baseball, Phills no one admitted steroid user team. Other successful baseball teams like the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers, all had their share of offenders. Big-name players and former MVP Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins are not the only fan favorite because of his enormous talent, but also his love for the game and appreciation for all the fans.
Obviously when you have players like Rollins, Howard and other All Stars on your team, you will be very fun to watch. This year, the Phillies had the second most home runs in baseball, and led the National League in runs, RBI and total bases. The Phillies have the seventh largest payroll of thirty teams in Major League Baseball. Their total salaries are entirely too close to the average in the league and are still much lower than other teams like the Yankees and New York Mets and Chicago Cubs. With so much money that the Yankee organization shells to their players, they are supposed to be great every year. America is all about outsider and it would be nice to see a team like the Phillies bring down the Goliath to its north.
"This one is for Harry." Is the motto of this team in 2009 Phillies adopted as they look to repeat as champions again. Harry is Harry Kalas, his former television play-by-play who died earlier this season. This year the Phightin Phills, as Harry called, use a patch with your initials to honor one of the greatest master of ceremonies honored microphone. They also play a video Harry sing one of his favorite songs, "High Hopes" after every win Phillies.
Philadelphia fans were hungry before the championship last year, and they could be even more hungry now. While Philadelphia is now full of emotion that the Phillies enter the World Series, the attempt to repeat as world champions as they did in 2008. Last year, it was the Tampa Bay Rays. This year there is the traditional driving force behind the New York Yankees. The Phillies hope to end your search for a corner Red October "High Hopes" after a successful year.
