The Philadelphia Phillies are in
the World Series. Finally !!! Before they were in the series, there was a
disappointment to the long drought for the players and the fans phillie. The
Phillies have been stuck in the same routine year after year. There are years,
the Phillies begin winning.They baseball season was going to win the first
couple of games, missed the next two games, and at the end, trying to catch up
- at the end of the season to try to do play-offs. This lasted for a few years
and, to the disappointment of Phillies fans. Former Phillies manager Larry Bowa
has done an excellent job in 2001, giving the Phillies their first winning
season in eight years. But in 2005 he was replaced by Charlie Manuel and
general manager Ed Wade was replaced by Pat Gillick. Pat Gillick liked some
feathers Phillies fans to share some of these stars "of winning seasons
the Phillies had left for other teams. Then the core team developed in 2007,
the Phillies won the notorious distinction of losing the most games of any team
in Major League Baseball.
That same year, the Phillies won the National League
East Pennant, but lost the division series to the Colorado Rockies. This year,
the Phillies responded by winning their division title and second consecutive
defeat the Milwaukee Brewers in the division series. That victory started a
landslide of records that included the first playoff victory for the Phillies
since the 1993 season.
And now we are here, waiting for the resumption of Game 5 of the World Series.
