Ho Chi Minh Events ~ Festivals, special events and celebrations are held throughout the year in Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City, with its Vietnamese and ethnic minority residents enjoying the opportunity to take part in religious street parties, national and cultural, parades and entertainment. One of the most joyous holidays is the New Year, which will take place according to the Chinese lunar calendar, with family members working elsewhere flocking home for the holidays. Thien Hau pagoda Ba Festival is another celebration of Chinese Premier style in the city, with huge crowds gathering at the famous pagoda to pay homage to Lady Thien Hau. This being a communist state, the International Women's Day March 8 is largely done, with parades and special events organized by the women of the city for their soulmates that take place throughout the city. Son fall natal day of President Ho Chi Minh on May 19 and the birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha is honored depends on the lunar calendar. The International Workers Day on May 1 is another reason for street parties. 

Temple visits for good luck and a great house cleaning to prevent diseases and evil spirits are featured religious festival in June Tet Doan Hgo and Family Vietnamese Day in the same month sees families gather for meals and relaxation. The holiday lunar July Tet Trung Nguyen involves repentance ceremonies at temples, pays tribute to the young generation and translates Wandering Souls Day, similar to the Chinese festival of the hungry ghosts. National Day and the beautiful, colorful Lantern Festival begin in September, with the largest Octoberfest celebration of childhood and family involving delicious cakes and lots of fun. December sees the Vietnam Film Festival, held over five days with city views and conventional Eve 31 December, New Year brings parties, fireworks, street music, traditional entertainment and celebrations all districts.

With the nightlife in the city center, residents and visitors need not wait for a festival to have a great time. District 1 is the center of the night, with bars, clubs, concerts and other exciting entertainment, including water puppet theater Traditional Golden Dragon, a color party, culture and legends. For a break from the hustle and bustle, the Mekong Delta is just a drive of your hotel Ho Chi Minh City Centre and the beauty of the South China Sea coast and islands are even closer.

Vietnamese traditional villages in the south and small towns dotting the paddy field and rice and Binh Chau Hot Springs are a relaxing treat. Cat Tien National Park is huge and one of the best regions of the country observers and glorious green forests of old forests. The fascinating city of Tay Ninh Cao is the center of Taoism, with its famous and fabulous Cao Dai Great Temple, the Holy See complex religion.
