Apricot Kernels, Cancer and Vitamin B17

Over the years there have been a number of mixed messages about apricot seeds, containing the vitamin B17 controversial (also known as amygdalin) and its effectiveness in treating both cancer and maintain it at bay. Amygdalin is a molecule with four components - two glucose (sugar), a cyanide and benzaldehyde. It seems that the amygdalin cyanide component is the one everyone hitching up their skirts and running for the hills, or, conversely, looking for a way to claim it as your own and use it as a cancer cure potential. It seems that when the public apricot kernels come with the inevitable cyanide component, can be very dangerous, but when scientists modify the cyanide component, and call it a treatment can be quite safe. On September 7, 2000, "The Independent" told us that scientists at Imperial College London found that the "magic bullet cyanide can kill cancer cells." Apparently, one Dr Deonarain of Imperial College said that the first time they had been able to show that they could kill cancer cells use a "prodrug activation approach" (his words, not mine). The newspaper described the "magic bullet" as a cyanide cocktail derived from the cassava plant. It seems that "thousands of cancer patients are risking their health by following the advice of alternative sites therapy promoting false cures'. Edzard Ernst, who is apparently only professor of complementary medicine country (clearly a lonely job), asked the government to steer people away from treatments promoted on the mighty interweb Surprisingly, the researchers found that dozens of remedies were being promoted as cure or prevent cancer - including shark cartilage, coffee enemas, mistletoe and "apricot extracts' - scary stuff!

The Sunday Times report clearly demonstrated the sheer folly to take their health into their own hands. And as if his dire warning was not enough, in 2006 (April 11), the good old BBC let us know 'Watchdog warns of apricot seeds. "Is there no escape apricots! The BBC reported that the Food Standards Agency are worried that cyanide can be poisonous in high doses, and we should consume no more than two bitter apricot kernels a day. In the same report, Cancer Research UK (also apparently concerned with apricots) warns us that the demands of pips cancer cure apricot simply are not true. They claim that "if simply eating apricot seeds can cure cancer, no one would be happier than us." The orthodox theory of cancer

Like most of us are aware, the conventional view of cancer is that the lump / tumor / growth "is cancer," and that this needs to be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or perhaps hormonal or immunotherapy. The idea is that by reducing the growth or cut it out of the body, the cancer is gone. That is, unless the cancer has metastasized (spread to other areas), in this case, another course of treatment may be suggested, or the patient can be said that the cancer has spread too far and nothing more can be done.

The alternative theory Cancer

The alternative view is that the lump / tumor / growth "is not cancer," but is "symptom" - a sign that something is wrong with the body's natural balance. It is believed that once the underlying problem is corrected growth will simply be absorbed by the body. Growth is not considered as "pure cancer." - Perhaps as little as 20% is actually cancerous, with the remaining 80% being non-cancerous It is suggested that the area of the cancerous growth is more resistant to radiation than the area not cancerous and therefore less likely to be destroyed. In other words, growth can be reduced, but the cancer may still remain and may potentially spread.

If we hurt ourselves a healing process begins and the affected cells are replaced by new cells. However, it is believed that cancer is a healing process that has not disconnected. In other words, if the body is deficient in something that is essential for homeostasis it can not function effectively and the healing process can just keep going. There are apparently two lines of defense against this over-healing process and the development of cancer. The first involves' Proteolytic enzymes (enzymes designed to digest proteins), which are produced by the pancreas. The two proteolytic enzymes, trypsin and chymotrypsin, dissolve the protective coat protein around cancer cells and this effectively allows white blood cells to attack the body and destroy cancer cells.

The second line of defense against cancer are substances known as nitrilosides. (It is believed that there are over 800 foods in nitriloside family). These foods containing vitamin B17 nitriloside (amygdalin), which consists of four components - two glucose (sugar), a cyanide and benzaldehyde. The cell wall of cancer has an enzyme called beta-glucosidase (also known as the "unlocking enzyme".) When B17 (amygdalin) and the enzyme release contact the cancer cell is destroyed. It is interesting to note that the beta-glucosidase is found in cancer cells, and in any other cell in the body (and therefore no other cell can be destroyed) As the author G. Edward Griffin points out in his presentation, 2005 -. It is only when the healing cells are allowed to develop unchecked, and our natural defense lines are down, it becomes a problem. Some people even feel that we probably develop cancer over and over again during our lives, but most of the time our defense systems simply deal with it - we know we have never had cancer.

This theory seems to be supported by fascinating explanation of G. Edward Griffin cattle farms in the Midwest of the United States. In an interview for FHV (The Norwegian organization of free consumer health) Griffin explains the following: In the Midwest of the united states farmers found that in the winter months, the cattle would develop cancers in their mouths. However, as the snow has melted and the spring come together, cattle would start eating broad-leaved weeds (rich B17) and cancers would simply disappear.

Q & A

If this cancer theory is actually true, why did not my doctor know about it?

You can find it in the references and links section under: The Science and Politics of Cancer 2005, Parts 4-7, A Cancer Therapy policy: The Pharmaceutical Cartel.

If we have two lines of defense to prevent cancer because both fail?

It seems that our modern diets, full of animal fat and dairy products, using up huge amounts of pancreatic enzymes in order to break this kind of food - thus depleting stocks when they are needed to fight cancer. Although there is also the problem of food like bread that is used to contain 'Millet flour' (rich in B17 / amygdalin), but now mainly contain the cheapest "wheat flour."

Cancer can be cured?

The conventional view would be that scientists are definitely looking for a "cure" for cancer. However, the alternative view of cancer seems to show that it is potentially a metabolic disease caused by natural handicaps and therefore we have to introduce food nitriloside back to the diet for the rest of our lives, and perhaps think about modifying our diets . That's why people who are concerned about cancer can focus on apricot seeds - a very high food at B17 / amygdalin.

Many people who hold the alternative view of cancer would compare it with a metabolic disease such as scurvy. Scurvy has been resolved only by taking vitamin C, as most people knows. There are other factors involved in cancer development?

Yes, it seems that the toxins in our environment and we take toxins in the body can produce a healing response in the areas that are affected by these toxins. For example, can damage the lungs if we smoke and this could provoke a response on healing - which can not then be switched off whenever you are deficient in proteolytic enzymes or nitriloside food. This could explain why some people who smoke develop cancer while others do not.

There are therapists who can use an alternative approach if someone already has cancer?

Why sometimes suggested that people should eat pineapple and papaya melons to keep cancer at bay?

It is our understanding that these particular fruit some mimic the action of proteolytic enzymes - thereby dissolving the coat protein of the cancer cell. Papaya melons as a source of papain enzyme, pineapple and as a source of enzyme bromelain.
