Great Golf at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa


In the heart of Texas, you'll find a gem of a golf resort in Texas at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio. This beautiful AAA Four-Diamond resort defines the nickname of "large-scale destination resort" with 27 championship holes of golf a luxurious spa, a water park full of fun, award-winning dining and much more to keep the whole family entertained. The resort is on the side of the fun family destination SeaWorld Texas and a short drive to other major attractions in San Antonio Alamo, San Antonio River Walk and the theme park Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

But for those of us who love golf, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa offers golfers pleasure in the Hill Country Golf Club. 27 holes, a wonderful training center and the challenges of the hill country of Texas project, you will understand why the course was named one of 10 new public courses in the US by Golf Magazine when it opened. The facility has also attracted attention as one of the top golf venues in the Conde Nast Traveler Golf Poll.


Award winning golf design firm Arthur Hills and Associates took great care not to take advantage of the hilly terrain alone, I started working with in South Central Texas but also took great care to preserve the natural landscape. The result is three golf courses in 9 different holes, each with its own splendid character.

The Oaks, streams and lakes Courses include rolling meadows, wooded ravines, and a layout that challenges your strength and spirit. Partners beautiful lakes with strategically placed bunkers and grassy hollows to test your game on each hole.

The course plays 3438 yards Oaks black t-shirts and offers a good balance in the length of the holes. There are certainly preferred sides to the fairway you configure for your approach shots to the par 4 holes. Do not pull the driver on the 400-yard par-4 holes ... you have to think your way through all the holes station and a smaller club off the tee may be the right match.

Room 420 yards in the Oaks will certainly challenge your strength and accuracy. You'll finish your side with a good pair of 5:01 occasion down for birdie as you approach into a huge shared green with the Creeks closing hole.

Another good tip to remember when playing in the Hill Country Golf Club is definitely keep the ball below the hole on your approach shots. In 2005, the station has reconfigured its 18 original holes to accommodate a new 9-hole course to bring the plant to a range of 27 holes. Many of the new holes are found in the 3429-yard Creeks Course. This nine has great character and an opportunity to score the opening two holes before being challenged with one of the most difficult par-3 holes on the golf course, 222-yard third. Par is an excellent result in this demanding hole.

You will then face the flow 'in the Creeks Course beginning with the beautiful par-5 fourth a journey of three shots to the green at 538 yards and water protecting the green. Water and bunkers protect green mass, but you can the green light to swing away on your approach if you keep to the left.

Lakes Course is the longest of the trio, checking in at just over 3,500 yards from the back tees. Keep your tee ceased to have an angle in the hard green protected by sand on the left and right along a lake shot. You will enjoy the par-5 April short, where your best bet is a long iron or hybrid off the tee on the right side of the fairway leaving you a wedge over a creek to a severely sloped green.

After the fifth easy, you'll face four demanding finishing holes. The sixth is the first of two tough par-5 holes on the side of the lakes. While golf may be the main reason for your visit to the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, you should consider why the resort chose to put the word "Spa" in its name. The answer lies in the extraordinary Windflower Hill Country Spa. The "Tee Time" package is perfect for the golfer after a day in the hot Texas sun, consisting of massage golfer and mini pedicure and facial rejuvenation.

For fun in the water, you can play volleyball water in the pool of free form of activity. For adults, there is a swimming pool in Texas way for adults only with waterfall and hot tub for adults only in your own private grotto.

Hyatt Hill Country Resort- Like most Hyatt family resorts, children's programs are incomparable. Camp Hyatt is an award-winning children's program that takes great care of your children aged 3 to 12 as you head to the links or the spa. Teenagers also appreciate the Underground Teen Space, a local place to check email, play video games, and slurp a smoothie.

Hotel Plaza is located in the center of the resort and is home to a Live Oak tree centenary.
