Ways To Eliminate Bullying

Bullying is a social shame and unfortunately incubated in our schools. Year after year it seems we hear a steady stream of news about suicides and killings because of bullying at school. There is no logic to think that bullying is "just part of our culture." primary and secondary schools can make it a priority to get rid of bullying in very specific ways. Here are five ideas for ways for schools to eliminate bullying:

Increased supervision. Bullies silent when adults are around and another closed circuit surveillance cameras can be used to look playgrounds, courtyards and corridors. Film evidence can be used to deal with bullies or as a basis for discipline.
Educate the school community about the roots and causes. Bullying is a behavior that is learned by imitation and is aggravated by the spread of negative or violent images. Schools can encourage discussion on violence and changing attitudes to accept violence as a norm.

Schools need to start teaching against bullying when kids are young, teach and spread the inclusion of this teaching. When schools are part of the culture to stop bullying and guide children to participate in the elimination of bullying, they can learn over time how to eliminate bullying in their lives.

Reward children who resist intimidation. Statistics show that bullying is less common for couples discourage (or at least refuse to participate). Why not be imaginative rewarding children who report bullies? Encouraging evidence sharing intimidation, including the use of mobile phone cameras and other recording devices. Statistics repeatedly show that less than 50% of bullying is already registered. Ignore the stigma of "betrayal" and reward the children to do the right thing.

Scare intimidates right. Bullying of children often end up as bullying adults, conditioned to believe they can get away with violence and aggression. They have a much worse chance to engage in assault, harassment and criminal behavior later in life. When you discover who the perpetrators, they know where bullies end. Prisons and courts are full of people who were arrested for not only physical violence but also lies, slander and all other harmful forms of child bullying may think "are not really bad." Be the change you want to see famous Gandhi said. If he can change a nation, you can change your school. Set a goal to eliminate bullying in your school, then get the whole community - staff, students, parents, everyone - on board. Take the tip of harassment, racism, physical violence were accepted but now are all ashamed. Attitudes may change, but we'll start with yourself. Stop bullying accept as the norm. Then spread this belief.

Schools must realize that they have a keen interest in eliminating bullying. We eliminate a host of other social ills.

Why not take an active part in making history of bullying?
