Make sure your fans are running.
This is the first step when you find your computer from overheating. Open the case and check that all the fans are still working. Clean your computer.
It is essential to regularly clean your computer, particularly the fans. Fans connected inside the computer case is used for active cooling computer. Over time, dust and dirt can accumulate on these fans. Dirt accumulation can slow or worse, stop working fans. If fans can not blow hot air quickly enough, some internal parts will eventually overheat.
To clean the cooling fan:
1. Turn off your PC.
2. Open your computer case.
3. If the excess dirt inside the computer case, remove the computer fan.
4. You can use compressed air, small electronic vacuum cleaner or mop or damp cloth on cleaning the fan.
Other parts of your own computer and the monitor, mouse and keyboard.
Before applying any equipment cleaning procedure, be sure to check the manual for your manufacturer if you have provided the cleaning instructions or recommended maintenance.
Do not pour or spray liquid directly into the computer parts.
Not restrict the airflow around your computer.
Place the computer in a room that can provide sufficient air flow. Like most of the hot air out of the air vent on the back edge of the computer case, this must be completely free and open.
Move your computer to a cooler and cleaner environment.
Move your PC in a location with adequate ventilation. It is important that the physical location will not contribute even more heat to your computer. Make sure your PC is not placed near an oven, refrigerator, kitchen utensils, and other things that can blow hot air or heat may transfer to your computer system.
Note: Be careful when moving your computer to prevent damage to sensitive components inside, such as the CPU, graphics card, hard drive and motherboard.
Use your computer with the box closed.
It seems logical to keep the file open while the computer is running to keep cooler. Upgrade your CPU fan.
The processor is the largest component within the computer. When you run demanding applications, the CPU and graphics card induce more heat. Consider purchasing a high quality and greatest CPU fan that can maintain the temperature of the CPU less than pre-built CPU fan in your computer could.
Consider the installation of a specific component of the fan.
If you have observed that the other components are overheating, install a specific component of the fan to cool.
Consider installing a fan casing.
This small fan can be attached to the front or rear of the computer case. There are two types of fan cases: one can draw in cooler air into the case, and can blow hot air out of the housing. Installation of the two is a great way to cool your computer.
Turn off your computer when not in use.
A computer continues to generate heat because running, even if you do not use. If you only have a few minutes of inactivity, at least, set your computer to hibernate. Overheating can destroy and shorten the life of the internal components of the computer. The main advantage of keeping your computer cool is that it can help you avoid costly repairs or made useless day.
