With only 17 years, a young man from Sweden took a decision that would define the rest of his life. He started a small business in his house, where he first started selling pens, wallets, picture frames and other small products, and also sold by mail order. The company was founded in 1943 and is now the largest furniture manufacturer in the world with 278 stores in 36 countries. The founder Ingvar Kamprand IKEA, which is an acronym. I and K represents the initials of his name, while E and average Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd who are farm names, he grew up in the country and was born in what is south of Sweden, respectively. The shops are very popular in Europe, Asia, USA, Canada and Australia. They also established stores in Israel and other countries in the Middle East and entering this market is a great success. Today, they are selling household items such as flat pack furniture, bathrooms and kitchen products and accessories.
 
The first IKEA store to open outside of Sweden was in Norway in 1963 and another store followed in Denmark in 1969. In the 70s many stores have emerged in Europe and a push began. Their motto is really simple and is "creating a life all better days for many people," they certainly made people's lives better by providing not only quality but affordable products. The stores have a color theme and they are usually very large blue buildings. IKEA stores, especially the news is not blunted. They have more glass and natural light improves mood and overall impression warehouses of self-service stores. The stores offer negotiations on reductions and there is a no return policy. Therefore, the products once sold can not be returned. In many IKEA stores you visit in the world, you will notice they are located outside urban centers, which is deliberate. Urban centers have a huge challenge for the available space. The main distinction with IKEA furniture and other products is that they are sold and installed. To sell, they publish catalogs per year and produce a magazine that is translated into 13 languages. They also have a discount card that you can get and is called the IKEA Family card.
