DVD Cases, It's All About The Hub

The most distinctive feature of a DVD case is your hub ~ DVD and Avid users know the names of your favorite centers, as they know the names of their favorite directors.

Currently, two of the most sought centers are the hub M-Locks and AlphaPAK. Both centers are from notable manufacturers who are innovators in their field. Except AlphaPAK fans, end users tend to favor the pole button. Many DVD users report that removing a disk from a starting hub, the disc rotates, making the nerve.

For example, in the case of thin or DVD style and pushbutton fine hubs have been known to cause floats, in particular when the cases are sent individually. During the expedition, a DVD-thin case is compressed, it can press on the hub and release the disc.

Slim case with style DVD, you want a startup hub. You do not want a hub that requires a lot of force to keep the disk because it puts pressure on the hub of the disc and may cause radial cracks around the center. If you hear a hard "snap" when the disk loading by hand, the center is very comfortable.

There is a trick to remove the disc easily liftable centers. Place the DVD case opened on a table or other flat surface. Use your thumb to press the hub while lifting the disc edge with your finger.

A good center is also good materials, to pay attention to the amount of recycled material in a DVD box. Virgin polypropylene is flexible and tolerant plastic, which is desirable in a start-up center. Over the DVD case contains recycled content, the more rigid it becomes. In Polyline, our favorite blends are about 80 percent virgin material of 20 percent recycled. Unfortunately, it is difficult for manufacturers to maintain a constant ratio of virgin to recycled materials, so they do not guarantee a minimum amount of virgin content. If your case feels extremely light and has a strong smell of burning rubber, it contains a high percentage of recycled materials and will be fragile.

As a side note, an old favorite hub, hub "ying yang" of Amaray longer available. NexPAK is phasing out the old design for a hub that is easier to mold. At present, the process Amaray II has a push button and hub original Amaray presents tear hub with a Y or a peace sign shaped opening. Both Amaray boxes will eventually pay the hub of peace sign.
