Comment On The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games was originally the first book in a series written by Suzanne Collins. Over time, he developed a large and loyal fan base since its inception in 2008. With the movie of the same name comes out, people Lionsgate certainly hope this fan base gravitate to the theaters to see the big screen translation in hopes of making a film franchise.

Like the book, the film of the same name tells the story of a teenage girl named Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), who lives with his mother and sister Prim (Willow Shields). Katniss and her family live in what is now known as Panem, but was once called North America. In Panem, the powers that hold an event once a year, where a boy and a girl from each of the twelve districts are involved in a battle with the assistance of death known as the Hunger Games.

These games were developed by the Panem government as punishment for an attempted revolution which took place there are eighty years. Katniss is one of 24 children registered for the event this year, which is the appearance of 74 games. Unlike others who have been randomly selected, it is really voluntary take the place of her younger sister who was selected instead. There have been very few similar films that were released on the big screen. The only problem here is that he never reached the heights he might have.

One of the negatives about The Hunger Games is the lack of character development. It hurts the film in my eyes, because they do not allow me to enter the actual figures. Almost all children were nameless and faceless, so when one of them was going to die, it would just feel empty and meaningless. If you try to use a pair of dramatic scenes featuring people dying, it would be useful to have the characters are of some importance, learn something about them.

Character development would have helped this particular film because it's so dry spots and empty scenes where nothing happens. They could easily have these opportunities when nothing will really develop these guys and get the audience emotionally invested in them. That would have made the film and his most dramatic and exciting events, but they decided to go another route.

Much of The Hunger Games shows some characters sleeping, eating or sitting. There are literally could have been more scenes of them to sleep their were really struggling. Like most people, see a movie for entertainment and those things are not fun to watch. The biggest flaw in The Hunger Games is not that it was terrible, the biggest fault was that they simply do not do enough with what they had. For example, Gary Ross could have used the first quarter of the film to develop characters and show some of the beautiful scenery that we can not see enough. Instead, they are thrown right into the film, then a lot of nothing follows behind her. The truth is The Hunger Games is a rated R movie that is attenuated to fit what is needed to get a PG-13 rating. It is simple and can be seen as The Running Man for a young audience.

There were few opportunities for some great ideas and issues to consider, but he did not. Because of how The Hunger Games is structured, it is difficult to get to how you are supposed to. The film's story could have been much deeper, much stronger and more significant. It is also filled with some of these basic, familiar people you usually see in movies. There are the types of bullying / jock who are essentially the best group of competitors in the field, the loser does not believe, the black man who is also a contender and drunk. The drunkard is a strange character who is played by Harrelson. He never really drunk after the first two stages it is and it is perfectly sober and very good all the rest. It could have been a drunkard in the book, but this is part of the character is completely irrelevant in the film.

The Hunger Games is not bad enough for me to tear completely, but it was not as good and has very little to offer. All the blame goes to the director and writers of the film. There were several things that could have been done to save the film, but they ignored most people.
