Boston Celtics Ahead to The Project

The Boston Celtics had the second worst season in their history, and now they have something to look forward. They will have the opportunity for the first choice in the NBA draft.

Fifty years after winning his first championship, the Celtics had an unfortunate season with injuries and inconsistent play young players who have seen them to lose 18 games on the trot, the longest in its history of the franchise. The Celtics finished the season 24-58. Celtics executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge said the team did not come together and never played their full potential.

Coach Doc Rivers has one season left on his contract and wants an extension. He thinks the Celtics have the ability to show a great improvement next season. Rivers said that improving health actors and a small improvement of the range would the Celtics team a playoff.

The Celtics could have a chance of winning the first pick in the draft lottery on 22 May 2007. It could bring Greg Oden, the center of the State of Ohio, for the team. However, the Celtics have the second worst record in the NBA. Oden, Kevin Durant of Texas will most likely be the two main choices when the project begins.

In three seasons as Celtics coach Rivers, their total income has been steadily falling 45-33 years 24. This is because of injuries, young inexperienced players and weak defense.
