As Hubs Work

Technological devices can be intimidating to both. Devices that work or connect with computers always seem to be the worst and most complex. A concentrator is one of the simplest worlds technology. Hubs are also very cheap.

If you know anything about the switches already contain you the knowledge you need to understand the hubs. Hubs are very similar to them except the cubes are less complex. Many devices, such as routers, have built-in hub function in them.

Multiple computers or devices are able to communicate when they are connected to a hub. The hub receives information from a computer or device, and then copy and sends the information to other devices.

The hubs are able to send information via Ethernet cables. Each hub has multiple ports for multiple Ethernet cables to connect multiple devices. Each device that is connected to the hub receives the same information. The switches are more advanced than the hubs is that they have this feature.

The switches are also capable of receiving and sending information simultaneously. Devices connect to a hub in a pattern similar to a spider web. All devices are connected to the cube outside the band. In the center of the spider web is the main computer with Internet access and is also connected to the hub. Hubs are very useful for small businesses or households with computer use.
