The Differences Between Google and Bing SEO Algorithms

When talking about SEO, I usually do a hypothesis that we talk about Google, after all, it holds about 67% of the search market. Regarding SEO, we often forget that while Google has an impressive market share, Bing, owned by Microsoft, firmly holds the second place with a share of 18%. The remaining 15% is composed of other different search engines.

Bing is still relatively new search engine, newly founded in 2009 and continues to grow in use, growing 2.1% in 2013.

While your competitors are blindly focused on Google, you may be making progress in its search rankings on Bing, and capture 20% of the search market in the process.

What exactly is important for Bing?

Bing Rewards images, video, audio, flash and more - Google is based more on the content and text-based descriptions to photos, while Bing is much more able to understand the flash and images.

Flash is virtually invisible to Google search bot developed a Flash site essentially disappear. That interpretation of Bing images is much greater than Google, Bing uses what is known as "understanding entity" that allows Bing to determine whether an image is a person, place or object.

Bing favors direct and less backlinks keywords - Google is much better to read end of a page in a context. Bing is more based on keywords "direct". Bing also relies more on internal backlinks with specific keyword text anchor. In terms of external links, Bing websites tends to favor a smaller number of backlinks, but the best quality sites.

Social media favored on Backlinks- The method that Bing uses to rank sites is much less dependent on backlinks than Google. Instead, as a last Bing search engine places more emphasis on social media and ironically, even on Google+. Important content must remain top - Bing search algorithm is still relatively new, while Google is much more developed. Bing will play the first 100kb of a web before making an evaluation page. Bing will not index all your web pages - Bing will not usually index and preserve all the pages on your site, if you do authority and significant value not consider. Ideally each page of your site should have at least one backlink pointing authority so that it remains of Bing search results. Do not just focus on links to your home page, but also other internal pages.

Many of the same rules still apply with the right strategy, you can greatly increase your search engine Bing. There are enough differences between the search engines with the results of the strategy right for certain search terms could be more favorable on Bing than Google. Despite this, many of the same rules still apply between the two:

High quality, relevant content is rewarded

Site owners should avoid duplicate content

Avoid spam "poor quality backlinks

Improve CTR and bounce rate - Focus on providing value and keep users on your site, Google and Bing consider sites that users leave quickly or "jump" so bad.

A final word on Bing. Like most online marketers know, Bing and Yahoo share the same search algorithm. Therefore, organic search results are close to identical between the two search engines. Otherwise, the search engines are near identical.

The advice here is if you need to play at a search engine, Google is still king.
