4. Osaka Aquarium:

Enjoy watching marine life in their natural environment? Then you'll love the Aquarium Osaka (Osaka Kaiyukan). This aquarium is located in the Minato district of Osaka, near Osaka Bay (western Japan). You can reach Osaka from Tokyo by shinkansen (bullet train), then take the train or local bus to the aquarium. The Osaka Aquarium has 16 tanks, the largest of which holds 5,400 cubic meters of water.

5. Nagoya Zoo & Botanical Garden (Higashiyama Koen)

Botanical gardens are a great place to see nature in a relaxed way, without haste. If your trip to Japan will take you to the Nagoya area, be sure to check the Nagoya Zoo & Botanical Garden (Higashiyama Koen).
