Originally opened as the Hotel
Commodore in 1919 and re-registered as the Grand Hyatt New York in 1980, the
hotel has hosted many dignitaries, celebrities and guests for many years. Located in Midtown Manhattan, the legendary Grand Hyatt New York just
finished its renovation of $ 130 million. Found at the crossroads of Manhattan
near Grand Central Station, the hotel had a bottom renovation in full,
including 1306/4 and suites with world-class works of art meticulously redrawn,
the acclaimed restaurant in New York Central , a lobby and mezzanine
transformed, more spaces for events and meetings, revitalized ballrooms and
grab-and-go to the innovative food market.
Grand Hyatt New York transformation has
internationally renowned artist Jaume Plensa and talents Per Fronth and Bentel
& Bentel design by George Wong Design and Looney & Associates.
Midtown Manhattan luxury hotel commissioned artists and designers to re-animate
and revitalize local public hotels. sculptor Jaume Plensa works, known for its
monumental public projects in Madison Square Park in New York, Millennium Park
in Chicago and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, UK, will be the centerpiece of the
hotel lobby; murals representing snapshots of New York by the Norwegian artist
Fronth are displayed in the rooms and in the Central Wine Gallery in New York;
and dynamic, colorful panels by German artist Burghard Muller-Dannhausen can be
seen at the event New Gallery on Lex space.

Guests arriving in the large hall on their direct holidays in New York will be amazed by the two major sculptures that life of Jaume Plensa, called Awilda and Chloe, reminiscent of the Moai sculptures on Easter Island.

Designed by Looney & Associates of Dallas and George Wong Design New York, the rooms offer a haven away from the bustle of the city below. Most rooms have been designed by Looney & Associates with rich wood, deeply weakened striped carpet, dramatic lighting, all inspired by the concept of "sexy Manhattan apartment. 20 VIP Suites, also designed by Looney & Associates and offer two distinct concepts; the idea of a "loft" and the idea of a "residence" modern. Uptown and downtown Uptown Suites capture the tones of a classic townhouse Manhattan, while the Downtown Suites are inspired by the bright and spacious open lofts of Tribeca.
The Grand Club and space for the social event
The Grand Club, designed to resemble a rooftop garden is a place of residential-style meeting place for guests, with access to technology, work areas and food and beverages. Designed by George Wong, this modern space is filled with hot surfaces of wood, sage colored walls and retro-industrial metals which reflect the different elements of nature. The hotel has a total of 55,000 square feet of space for events ranging from intimate meeting rooms to large halls.
