How to Use Google Earth?


Google Earth is originally called 3D EarthViewer and is also a map, virtual globe and geographical information program, which is created by Keyhole Inc. In 2004, Google acquired Keyhole Inc. Google Earth includes 3 characteristics and they are:


• The free version with limited functionality
• With additional features (interrupted)
• A version for commercial use (It costs about $ 400 per year)

Google Earth is re-released in 2005, and can be used on desktops / laptops running Windows 2000 and later, Linux 2.6 and later, Mac OS 10.3.9 and later. Recently, Google Earth is released as a plug-in in all browsers, on 28 May 2008. In October 2008, mobile users can also access the application with the operating system I-phone. Android users can easily download this application from the Android Market for free. While releasing the updated client bolt hole on the base, Google added images from the database of the Earth to their web mapping software, which is known as Google Maps.

Resolution on earth cover at least 15 meters and most of the land covers 2D images in the vertical photograph. Using this application, users can view streets, Sky, Moon, Mars and oceans.

Google Earth also uses the DEM data, which is collected by STRM.
