Lamborghini Car Show & Vehicle History

Lamborghini is an Italian sports car of luxury, with a rich history. The company was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963 and was an instant success. It is claimed that Lamborghini had a tractor that was not working properly and had a meeting with Enzo Ferrari to complain about the problem. Enzo dismissed the issue saying that the clutch was fine, but the driver was poor. Irritated, Lamborghini opened a business to compete with Ferrari. With elegant and large motors, the car hung like a Fiat, but it was much faster. The company has been plagued by numerous bankruptcies and the company merged with Chrysler. Chrysler further improved this fast car, but the bad economic climate prohibited sales.

Lamborghini was again resold and soon the Diablo SV was launched. Later, Audi AG bought the company and even redesigned the car. Today Lamborghini is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group.

One of the problems with Lamborghini was the purchase cost. The current Mucielago LP640 is cheaper than the Spyder or the Gallardo, but sales have not picked up. Although cars are fast and efficient, they are still expensive for the general public. There is speculation that a four-door sedan may be the next step for this sports car.

Unlike many other European cars, Lamborghini did not enter the race track for a long time. In the 90's, Lamborghinis will sporadically Speedway and did well.
