Best Subwoofer Box Sealed Vs Vented Bandpass

When it comes to subwoofers, most people do their research and spend a lot of time trying to understand under what is best for them. There is a wide range of boxes or subwoofer enclosures on the market today. Many audio enthusiasts choose to build their own boxes. Although such a large selection is available, there are basically three types of boxes. The two most popular types of subwoofer enclosures are sealed and ventilated. A third option is a hybrid of the first two group called a box.

Sealed

A waterproof case box is exactly what it seems. The loudspeaker has proved the box and the rest of the box is sealed such that air can escape. This is probably the most common type of box. Due to the fact that air can not penetrate in or outside the housing, a sealed box sounds very accurate and can handle very low frequencies better than most cases.

One drawback of a sealed box is that it usually requires more energy than a vented enclosure. However, a sealed box is a good choice for those who want a real high quality sound from your subwoofer.

A sealed box can be purchased at most electronics stores, or you can build your own.

Ventilated

Ventilated boxes are also known as Ports boxes. These types of boxes have a small hole or opening therein that allows air to escape from the housing. These speakers produce a very loud sound using less energy to drive the woofer, but they are also less accurate and provide a lower sound quality in a sealed box.

Broken boxes are set to a particular frequency range determined by the length, width and diameter of ventilation. Each box has a specific frequency that is designed to operate at full power. By changing the ventilation, the box can be set to different frequency bands.

Bandpass

Another option that is often overlooked when people are discussing this kind of subwoofer box is better the bandwidth area. This is a hybrid zone, which is essentially a combination of a sealed and vented box. Bandwidth boxes are extremely effective. One room is ventilated and the other is sealed. Bass speaker moves out of the sealed chamber and continues through the hole in the outer box. This produces deeper resonance low and requires less energy than a single sealed box. However, all subwoofers will work in a box of the strip so you must do your research when considering a band box. If you plan to build your own box, it may be easier to go with a traditional sealed or vented box.

As with many decisions in life, the subwoofer box is good choice for any individual descend to that person and the factors that influenced their choice. The good news is that no matter what combination of factors, it is sure to be a subwoofer box there that fits your needs.
