Movie Review The Incredible Hulk

Marvel Studios has released his second film of 2008, and although not as expected as Iron Man, there's a lot of buzz about The Incredible Hulk.

Marvel decided to reboot the Hulk franchise ignorant Hulk movie, Ang Lee, who was not well received at all. This time, Louis Leterrier (Transporter 1 and 2) is supported, and there's a lot more action accordingly.

This film is very much a tribute to the TV series Ferigno Bill Bixby / Lou 1980 Many images in the film are straight out of the show, and the origin of the Hulk. Even the theme song made an appearance. But there are also many comic references as well, including Mr. Green / "Return of the Monster" Mr. Blue exchange Bruce Jones intrigue, and cameos of some characters of the cartoon family.

Flag hid after his first Hulk-out, where he nearly killed his girlfriend, Betty, and his father, General Thunderbolt Ross. But he slipped, and now the general closes, which gives the film a kind fleeting sensation. To help the fighter flag, General Ross brings together a team of experts, including Emil Blonksy a living soldier who loves a challenge. After Blonsky sees the Hulk first hand, he wants to do whatever it takes to make him fall, including being injected with the Super Soldier Serum (referring to the upcoming film Captain America). This sets up final showdown of the film between the two monsters.

All functions of the first film have been reworked, with Edward Norton playing Dr. Bruce Banner / Hulk, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and William Hurt as General Thunderbolt Ross. Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs) plays Emil Blonsky / Abomination. Marvel has done it again with the cast, and everyone plays its role perfectly. Norton really shines as a group, and it is great that he has a chance to strut their stuff in the books of action / comedy film.

The Hulk looks like it should at this stage - Nine feet tall, green and mean. The filmmakers were able to capture more emotion in this Hulk which should make it more acceptable as a CGI character. CGI Hulk does not bother me at all, but the Abomination was a bit too. It really looks nothing like its counterpart comics, and more like a mini-Godzilla crossed with something from a horror film.

The weakest part of the film is the great battle Hulk / Abomination. The final scene of the film also seemed forced and out of place. Like Iron Man, the music does not have themes for a character, nothing that you walk away from the movie buzz (except a few bars of the Hulk TV series). Overall, The Incredible Hulk is much higher than the Ang Lee film Hulk. It is faster, more engaging, and just plain fun. Fans of the TV series will be as fans of the comic will love and even casual fans should enjoy.
