Head Face Club Cup and How It Affects Performance

All conductive heads as well as hybrid and fairway wood heads are made from a number of separate pieces which are welded together to complete the final construction of the clubhead. Among the separate pieces that form the entire club head is always a clubface. In these types of driver, fairway woods, hybrid construction of head, the club face may be formed to be welded to the body in two different ways, it is called a face of the welded edge and the other called construction opposite the suction cup.

In the sealed edge of the club head face, the face is made such that the conditions within the weld line to secure the stick portion to the body of the head is, on the facial contour.
Cupface in construction, the weld line for securing the cupface the body of the head are not in the end face, but rather some distance from the edge of the face.

The purpose of a cupface construction is to improve the amount of bending face to areas outside the center of the face to achieve a better distance performance and feel of off-center hits. Pursuant to the modern bat on the face flexes inward, the faster the ball will be in the face.
With a welded edge of the lid, a part of the actual welding ensures that the body is cupface exceed the current sewn on the rear surface of cupface. This weld can extend ¼ "on the back, all 360 * around the face. It can act as an extra" kick "or" band "to prevent the face to flex both plans inside hit the face off-center.

Since the weld line of a cupface construction is well back from any part of the face, it means that the weld seam is away from any part of the face. Here is a picture showing a 4-real coins cupface driver's head in the parts of the head and face cup of just being initially welded to position the pieces to complete robotic welding.
