Biometric access
control system can not remain advantageous if it is not reliable. Hackers
can easily enter the premises by spoofing the face recognition access control
system. Unauthorized access can cause problems on
site. A
good quality face recognition access control system can make the difference
between a live face and a photograph. Live
face detection can be done by a biometric access control in a number of ways. Some
of the common algorithms, which a biometric access control utilize to recognize
live faces of good quality can be given as below:
* Observing the
eye movements: Eye movements are determinants to live face detection. There are
slight variations in facial features and images of the face shape of sequential
faces. A
smart biometric access control can notice eye movements in the sequential face
images and conclude whether the given face is a real human face or a simple
photograph.
* Method based on
face detection feature live: The proposed method increases the live face
detection accuracy rate in biometric. The input image must
have a resolution. The face is large
and sensitive skin tone. Facial
recognition access control system by the method based on the features for live
face detection are not able to match an image with the image in the database.
* Movements of the face for live face detection: This
system can be based on the detection of head movements and facial gestures. It
considers eye movements, eyebrow movements, mouth and lip movements, head
movements and other factors. The
input image which is not, is a live face and not a picture! The
biometric access control system does not need an expensive camera. It
can operate in a low cost camera and guarantees higher security by denying easy
entry.
