Yamaha R1 and Yamaha R15 Mean Machine


Yamaha R1 and R15 are both premium motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha Motor Company.

Powered by a 998 cc, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC liquid-cooled line that produces a maximum power of 182.1 hp @ 12500 rpm with a maximum torque of 115.5 Nm at 10,000 rpm, Yamaha R1 is power super bike. The engine is mated to a manual 6-speed transmission. Yamaha R1 is the first bike to use a cross plane crank shaft. The gearbox has a 6-speed clutch. Yamaha R1 bike has a fuel tank holding capacity of 18 L, which offers 1 L of fuel reserve capacity.


Yamaha R1 uses dual 310 mm disc with radial-mount calipers forged 6-piston front and 220 mm disc with single-piston caliper at the rear. The front tire is 120 mm wide while the back is 190 mm wide. Yamaha R1 is available in three colors - Matte gray, red and blue fast Yamaha Team / white.

Yamaha R1 returns a fuel economy of about 15 kmpl. Yamaha R1 is available from Rs. 15,60,183.

Yamaha R15 is a guided bike Yamaha range of input performance, which was introduced in the Indian market in 2008. Yamaha R15 gets a sporty style, which is derived from his elder brother, the Yamaha R1.

Some of these features include Yamaha R15 Deltabox framework Monocross suspension, aluminum swingarm, broken seats, LED taillights, disc brakes and alloy wheels.

The Yamaha R15 is powered by a 149.8 cc, single-cylinder engine fuel cooling liquid injection that produces a maximum power of 17 bhp at 8500 rpm with a maximum torque of 15 Nm at 7500 rpm. Yamaha R15 bike has a fuel tank holding 12 L capacity, which offers 1.2 L of fuel reserve capacity.

Yamaha R15 comes with a price of Rs. 1,13,550.

This bike is in competition with other existing segments namely KTM Duke 200, ZMR models and heroes CBR 150 R motorcycle.
